The Aomori International Exchange Association, previously the Aoimori Foundation for the Creation of a Bright Future, started afresh on April 1, 2006 with the new name and a new organizational structure.
The Foundation works to promote internationalization in Aomori prefecture. We organize various programs to provide opportunities for international exchange and for Aomori residents to develop an understanding of foreign cultures; to make Aomori a livable environment for foreigners; and to foster a workforce that is responsive to the demands of an increasingly international society.
